This chest of drawers was designed for a client with a number of young children, for storing their clothes and toys. The aim was to produce a piece with a safe form that was also crisp, refined and contemporary. The dresser features a finger jointed Ash body adding structural integrity and intriguing visual detail and touch release drawers with Cedar drawer bottoms offering natural anti moth properties.
This studio is driven by a fascination with the social exploration, problem-solving and detail of manufacture inherent in the design process. With a background in product design and cabinet-making the studio provides innovative and eloquent responses to the problems and inspiration posed by our varied environments. Designs are batch produced or made on commission, with some standard items available to order and others designed and made to a client's specification.
